so I can't look at this without thinking I hope no one thinks I should be committed... I have a bunch of reference photos of myself with different faces and felt like getting down and dirty with some painting. I glued on patches of fabric with different textures and patterns, even some felt, and essentially gessoed it with big chunks of acrylic and then went ahead with oil.
It looks scary and not sure I like the way it makes me feel, but felt good to get it out and do something different. |
